Guardian Masterclasses

Two brilliant opportunities for writers are presented by the Guardian newspaper:

UEA Guardian Masterclasses

"The University of East Anglia (UEA) and Guardian Masterclasses have joined forces to offer a series of courses that will be accredited by the UK's leading university for creative writing. The starting point for this ground-breaking initiative has involved the creation of three distinct course levels – how to tell a story (introductory), how to complete the first draft of a novel (intermediate) and how to finish a work of fiction (advanced) – all of which will be taught by respected, award-winning writers."

Guardian Masterclasses

"The Guardian is proud to announce Masterclasses, an ambitious international programme of face-to-face courses across film, food and drink, gardening, music, photography, technology, writing and other disciplines.

Directed by leading figures across a range of different specialisms, our courses will adopt a serious approach to learning without working to a bland and prescriptive syllabus.

Among the names lined up to deliver masterclasses next year are the poet laureate, Carol Ann Duffy, chef and food writer, Yotam Ottolenghi, and film producer, Sandy Lieberson. "

You may book online, via email at masterclasses@guardian.co.uk or contact Lucy on 020-3353 3099.
