This free event invites NAWE and Arvon writers and NALD members to come together for a day of discussion and debate about how to ensure that the next generation of young writers and literature activists can flourish. It will focus on the needs of young people outside formal education and explore ways in which they can be supported and encouraged to become writers, producers, directors and the literature professionals of the future.
Representatives from the Arvon/Jerwood mentoring scheme, The Writing Squad and NAWE’s Young Writers’ Hub will take part in presenting and debating. The day is for literature professionals, writers who work with young people and young writers and literature activists between 16–25yrs.
The day will be hosted by Anne Caldwell and Steve Dearden.
